Janesville Swift Night Out #2

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP COUNT CHIMNEY SWIFTS IN JANESVILLE?

Mercy Hospital's chimneys have been hosted over 300 swifts this year and will be the public location for this count.   Meet in the employee parking lot north of the hospital (access off Terrace or Franklin's Sts) which will give the best vantage point of the chimney.  Volunteers from Green Rock Audubon will be present to talk about chimney swifts.   Bring a lawn chair.

Bird City Janesville conducts a simultaneous count at various chimneys around the city to get an accurate count of the population on two Sundays during the migration period.    This will be later in the migration and smaller numbers are to be expected.
